Executive Director Position
The Greene Metropolitan Housing Authority (GMHA) is seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual to provide executive leadership, administration and strategic direction to a staff of 25 employees that support the programs of the Housing Authority. GMHA is a political sub-division of the State of Ohio, located in Xenia, Ohio, governed by a five-member board, politically appointed. GMHA owns 360 units of Public Housing, a 17-unit HUD Multi-Family property, 25 units not subsidized, and a base line of 1,466 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. The executive director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the agency, oversees the financial activities, including the budgeting process, maintains the official records of the agency, reports to the Board at a regular monthly board meeting.
A successful candidate will have an appropriate combination of education, knowledge of program regulations, excellent verifiable written and oral communication skills, and management experience in the subsidized housing industry. While a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred, an exceptional candidate with knowledge and experience may be entertained. A Public Housing Manager certification is a requirement. If not possessed at the time of hire, it must be obtained within one year. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefit package included. Maintenance Technician II
Greene Metropolitan Housing Authority is accepting applications for full-time Maintenance Technician II.
Prefer at least four years home construction/maintenance experience in: HVAC installation and servicing, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall. Must also have skills in operating lawn and snow removal equipment. Experience with whole-house inspections a plus.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma, valid OH driver’s license, ability to lift 80 pounds, climb ladder, and work at rooftop heights. Truck and tools furnished. Salary depending on education and experience. Excellent benefits. Equal opportunity employer.
